The window in my front door is made up of different patterns of etched glass. When I first looked at the pattern through my macro lens, I liked the way the green from the trees just outside my door was picked up, but I also thought the scene looked just like the harbour freezing over. All I did to add an icy feeling was change the white balance from daylight to tungsten. Very easy – great effect!
