This is a runner-up for today’s Daily Shoot challenge, to make a photo focused on the container rather than the contents.
I took this shot in Collingwood’s Harbourview Park, located on the waterfront behind Tim Hortons and McDonalds. I often encounter people who’ve bought a coffee and then sit on a bench or wander the trails to enjoy it. Great idea! What I can’t get my head around is why anyone would choose to just leave the empty cup behind! There are garbage cans in the park. The cup is paper – it can easily be folded up and stuffed in a pocket so it can be thrown out later. Unfortunately, there is enough material here to start a new series that I’ll call “Left Behind”.
